Nail fungus treatment by Dr. Nassir
As part of the Cutera Xeo laser system, our technicians use Intense Pulsed Light to target and kill toenail fungus. The concentrated wavelengths move through the toenail and vaporize the germs embedded in the nail plate that cause the fungus in the first place, all without damaging the nail itself. Using the IPL, our technicians can safely remove and prevent future outbreaks of this obnoxious condition.
During your consultation, our physicians will inspect your feet and take you through the entire process of removing the infection. Our technicians will then perform the session, applying the laser to the affected area. The procedure is generally painless, although our friendly, courteous staff will make sure you are comfortable throughout the entire process. Your health is our primary concern, and we take care to perform the highest quality work for our patients.
There’s no reason you should have to hide your feet. Let OC Skin Laser Center liberate your toes. To schedule your consultation or for more information on removing that pesky nail fungus, contact our office today.
What is nail fungus?
Also known as onychomycosis, nail fungus is a condition that causes the toenail to thicken and take on an unappealing look or a yellowish color. Though not generally painful unless the infection is particularly severe, nail fungus is nonetheless ugly and undesirable. Worse, the fact that people cover up the toes only make the matter worse, since it’s those exact hot, sweaty conditions that breed nail fungus.

Why you should treat nail fungus
As well as the embarrassing cosmetic and social implications of the condition, nail fungus is a contagious disease which destroys nails and can be readily passed on to other people. The affected area can be a breeding ground for other infectious diseases, and can lead to allergies that manifest themselves in the skin or lungs.
